Create reports in Sharepoint online from SQL database

Dear Team,

I have a requirement where I need to create a in Sharepoint Online from tables residing in SQL server database.

Also a part of the report shall be editable.Once edited the fields shall be written into the tables residing in the same SQL server.

What can be the approach.I am fairly new to Sharepoint technology.

Thanks for the response. Reports are there in Power BI already.

However the requirement is to expose the report for a writeback without using Power apps.

I am considering an alternate solution of creating a similar report in Sharepoint through Sharepoint online pages/forms,where the users can edit/update fields and the data can be made to flow into the database.

Is this feasible .

What are the steps to do this.

As I said earlier,I am pretty new to Sharepoint technology.
