Can SharePoint index an external website which is based on JavaScript?
We are trying to index a site based on Apache Solr which is relying on client side rendering using the Angular Framework. So basically all content is loaded client side by calling REST APIs.
We did not succeed. Content from the external site is not searchable in SharePoint.
Actually, I was expecting this because of the websites architecture. But I could not find any documentation about the SharePoint crawler limitations for external websites with JavaScript.
Does anyone have some more information on this topic?
