Hello everyone,
I have currently saved an excel file in the Sharepoint site of my company.
The file is protected by password, which allows me to edit the file from time to time.
My colleagues can only access in read-only mode to view information in the file (they don't know the password).
The issue is, whenever one of my colleagues has the file open in read-only mode, I cannot open the file in edit mode as I receive the following warning:
"The file is locked for editing by another user"
and the workbook opens in read-only mode even though I input the correct password.
Is there a way to allow me editing the file when someone has it open in read-only mode?
