Change group permissions at Site Collection level

Hello,
I have a question.
Is it possible to change the permissions of the groups from Edit to Contribute at Site Collection level.

When I am in a library, I can break the permissions and then change the permissions of the groups there. Is it also possible on the complete page? The options to change permissions are grayed out. I can only edit new groups that I add myself. But I want to change the existing ones.
The picture shows my problem. The group is selected, but I cannot change it.

Hello,

You can't change the Edit for Members group, but as you mentioned since you have some users or groups inside the "Members" group, you can easily add a new group, add the users and groups in there and remove them from this one.
