Change Default Sharing Option to Read

When sharing files with people outside our organisation, is it possible to have the “allow editing” function turned off as default?

@Pn1995 That is definitely possible. It's a setting in the SharePoint Admin Center, under Policies --> Sharing. Scroll to the File and Folder links section and select View instead of Edit.
