Change color of news post box

Copper Contributor

Is there any ootb functionality that allows me to change the color of the box that denotes that a news post is coming from an organizational news site?

Attached a screen shot.

I'm not able to see your screenshot but, I know there is a way to highlight news from "Organization" sites using PowerShell which adds a background color to all Site Names in the News Article card.

See the article below and find the Organization news section to see what it looks like.

Here is the PowerShell that your SP Admin will need to run.

@Colin Steger thanks for the reply. I've actually already set 2 sites up as Org News sites. The problem is that all news from both sites are flagged with the same color banner. I was wondering if there's anyway to set it up so that Corp News is flagged with one color, while HR news would be flagged with a different color.

@EvanB Ah I see. I would expect that the background color for those boxes is dependent on the Site Theme for the site where the News web part is applied.

@Colin Steger Thanks Colin. That was kind of what I was thinking too. Just hoping that I was missing something

@EvanB Hi Evan, have you found a way to change this color? I have the same issue, and the color to highlight the news doesn't match the site theme. Thanks for your feedback.

@ariel s Unfortunately I haven't found a way yet
