Cannot open files in Quick Edit mode in SharePoint Online

In Modern UI as well as Classic experience, when we open up a library in Quick Edit mode, clicking the file "Name" to open it up doesn't do anything. The filename shows the underline on hover as usual like a hyperlink, but does nothing on click.

Is this a bug?

Which browser are you using? The quick edit works fine for me at least in Chrome and Edge

@Juan Carlos González Martín Happens in Chrome, Firefox, IE9... I click the filename and it just doesn't do anything. Does the file open on yours?

this is by design. you can edit the filename in quick edit.

Old post, but just checking in to note that this seems to work as expected now. Perhaps was a fix in an update...
