Bulk user delete from SPO team site

Hi,

I am a team site administrator for an internal SPO site. I have been asked to do a clean up of users which are no longer part of the team. 

I found around 500 users that prompt to delete. Is there a way I can automate the deletion of these users? I really would like to avoid having to select 500 contacts for deleting.

I have read some posts online that you can do it via PowerShell scripting. But none has a template and clear step-by-step instructions on how to do it.
