Block the uploading exe file in SharePoint

Hi, 

I have blocked the exe file from getting uploaded to the SharePoint site. But when i change the exe file extension to pdf, i am able to upload. Is there any option to block the same file if i change the exe file extension to another extension. Kindly suggest please.

Where did you find the option to block certain file extensions? 

And does it also affect Teams Messages/Posts?
