Associate SPO Root Site with Hub Site

Good Morning,

Is it possible to associate the SharePoint Online root site with a Hub site?  I 'associated' the root site, which is a classic Team site, with a Hub site, but I don't see the navigation menu.  I have a customer that would like to see the Hub site navigation menu on the root site, especially on this page, https://TENANT.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx.

Hi There.  As detailed on this page - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/features/hub-site/hub-site-overview#:~:text=If%20you... - the hub site navigation will only appear on modern pages I'm afraid, so your customer would not be able to see this on a classic site.
