how I can make api call ins SharePoint Server Subscription Edition

I want to perform rest api call in SharePoint Server Subscription Edition .  How I can achieve this.

Is  SharePoint Server Subscription Edition the next release of SharePoint or something sharepoint later version expected

And yes, SharePoint Server Subscription Edition is the last major version of SharePoint Server. This version is running in evergreen mode. By using this mode, we will continuously deliver new features in regular shorter cadence vs 3 years release cycle model. And customers don't need to upgrade SharePoint Server version anymore which reduce a lot of effort.
