Syntex Models and Information management Policies

I am going to be setting some retention policies based on Content Types. These Content Types are being created by Syntex Models.

My Questions:

1. If I set the Information Management Policy at the site level, will it get reset if I modify the model in the Content Center and re-sync it to the library after the policy has been created?
2. Is it possible to set the Information Management Policy at the Content Center model level so it follows the content type where ever the model is deployed?

Whatever policies you configure the Syntex model to use, it will be honored at the library level. To specifically address your questions:
1. When a Syntex model is deployed to the library, whatever configuration that is at the site level will not be applied.
2. When the policy is created and attached to the model, it will be applied to the destination document library when deployed.
