[SharePoint Premium/Syntex - Content Assembly] How to migrate a model to another library

Copper Contributor

Hi community,

Is there a method to transfer a Content Assembly model from one library to another?

I designed a demonstration to showcase some Syntex features to my team on a test site, and now I wish to move this model to a library on a different site within the same tenant. Is this achievable?

Hi Leonardo,
As far as I can see, there is a way to assign the models via Powershell. You can find more information here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/syntex/powershell-syntex-publishing#apply-a-model-to...
Hi Leonardo,
You can always download and load the model into the new environment. I think you've already done this, but there's a security permissions problem. Whenever you move a model between environments, the model can only be modified in the original environment and only by the creator.
Hi LonardoSouzaCS

Do you want to move the model or publish the model to a different library?

Hi @LeonardoSouzaCS

There is currently no way to transfer a content assembly (template) from one library to another. This is a common ask I get!

You would have to re-create the model from scratch in another library.

Thanks
