Workflow in SP Designer to make Excel objects Read Only after a certain Date

Thanks in advance for your help!

Anyone has tried creating a Workflow to make Excel Items in SharePoint Read only after a certain Dates, and still have Key Users be able to make Edits?

@Joorge_c Do you want to make excel items or list items to be ready only? I don't think we can control excel items via workflow
