I have some old requests submitted in my SharePoint site that have documents attached with PII data that has been flagged and I need to encrypt. Does SharePoint store the documents attached in a form in a library where I can go and encrypt them?
I am a new owner of the site and am just learning.
Also, one of the requests was created by an employee who no longer is with the company and I cannot edit the form. Is there a way as an administrator that I can change the creator info on the form so that it can be edited?
Thanks,
Elliott

Hi @elliott7795 are you talking about SharePoint list item attachment? If yes, you can't access to the entire list of attachments directly (you can use rest api https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/system-center/orchestrator/download-attachment?view=sc-orch-1807 i.e.).
About edit permissions on this item, are you a sitecollection administrator, or simply the site owner?
Cheers,
