PnP provisioning SP2010 workflows

Hi,

I am investigating the options for provisioning SP2010 (SPD) workflows. We are using PnP as the core of our provisiong solution and are also going to use it to provision SP2013 workflows but there is also the need to use 2010 workflows. When I export one of our development sites with PnP I see SP2013 workflows being exported but not the SP2010 workflows (tested with both a reuable workflow associated with a list and a list workflow). 

Is it possible to provision SP2010 workflows? And if so can be done same way as SP2013 workflows (by including the workflow definition in the template)?

I believe PnP does still not support the export of SP 2010 workflows: https://github.com/SharePoint/PnP-Sites-Core/issues/1031

Thx @Juan Carlos González Martín. Appears it is not going to be supported anytime soon. The issue is addressing only export of the workflow, would it theoraticly be possible to use the output from the .wsp file (from save as template option in SPD) and use PnP to provision these files to the workflow folder?

i think it will but you need to place the files manually. and need something to activate the workflow.

Thx @Deleted. Didn’t pursue SP2010 workflow option as from performance perpective they are no longer an option.
