Make a copy of a visual webpart

I have a web part deployed in a sharepoint 2013 environment. I need to make some changes and deploy it to the same environment with a different name. This way I will have two web parts, the existing page with the old web part can still work. I tried to rename the package, the feature, what else I need to change?

If you need to modify how the WebPart works, you need the source code of the WebPart

I have the source code, made the code changes. I want to deploy it to the same site with a different name of the web part, so the existing page with old web part will still work, I will create a new page for the new web part.
