We are planning to migrate Sharepoint 2010 to 2019 on-prem and would like to know if it is possible to convert wsp (webpart -server side /Client side) solution to SP 2019 (classic) without rewriting it in new spfx model?
AFAIK, there is not a conversion process for WSPs and in theory your WSPs should work in SP 2019, but your migration path is going to be quite long: SP 2010 -> SP 2013 -> SP 2016 -> SP 2019
