I have a web application that I am trying to enable to respond over https. My libraries require check out to edit documents. I have found that whenever I add an https binding to the web application whenever I open an office document it no longer recognizes that it needs to be checked out and prompts me to check the document out. It opens as read-only. If I edit the document I can save back to the library but it treats it as a new document and asks me if I would like to replace the existing document. Has anyone seen this behavior? Can anyone point me in a direction to troubleshoot and identify what can be done to resolve this problem? We are using SharePoint 2016 (16.0.4351.1000)
