Enhancing yeoman sharepoint generator

I would like to enhance the yeoman sharepoint generator for adding my own stuff. Is the source code of the yeoman sharepoint generator available. I know There is a github pnp project « Pnp spfx generator ». Is this the better approach to begin?.

Hi Michel,

The source code is not available at the moment. Maybe in the future...
Regarding the best way to extend it, yes, the PnP approach would be the best as they build on top of the SharePoint generator and you still get all the new updates that MS releases.
I don't know the project in detail, but I know that Stefan (who leads the PnP version) had blog posts explaining the details
