Allow a Sharepoint Site to publish in public - Need to have third party apps to enable this

Copper Contributor

Hello SharePoint Dev,

We have a requirement in our company to publish a SharePoint site in public without having users login their account.

MS Support says that it is not supported anymore since March 2018.

They also mention that it requires to have a third party app to make SharePoint site to be publish in public possible. What is this Third Party apps?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi @Denmark_Soriano

there is no way to use SharePoint Online in anonymous.

Thirtd party solution are mentioned in the docs (here), talking about migration of contents from existing old SharePoint Online public sites.

There is another option, you can use PowerApps Portals (https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/portals/

Give internal and external users secure access to your data either anonymously or through commercial authentication providers like LinkedIn, Microsoft, Facebook, and Google, or enterprise providers such as Azure AD B2C and Okta. Set authentication requirements, customize data for each user, and allow users to submit their information privately with straightforward admin controls.

Using common data services you can integrate your site with Microsoft services like Power BI embeded, SharePoint Online, Azure Blob Storage, Azure AD B2C.

Please, verify licensing :)

Cheers,
