We have requirement to add custom metadata properties to news post page created from external link in SharePoint online News web part.
Currently when creating news post page(Create option), we have custom page content type attached to site page library which has custom metadata properties/site. This is helps to classify/categorize news based on these properties.
OOB Repost page content type is being used when creating news post page from external link and any custom content type based on Repost Page is not getting identified.
Ultimate goal is to create a custom content type based on repost page and make news web part to pick this up when creating news post from external link.
Note : There are policy restrictions to not to modify any OOB content types.
Suggestions are greatly appreciated.
