How can I sync up my New Team channels to existing SharePoint content

Great question. If your SharePoint team site is already a group-connected site, then all you need to do is connect that team site to a new Microsoft Teams team. If your SharePoint site is not connected, you can then connect a new Office 365 group to the classic site - and htis will effectively modernize it; aka, it'll be group-conected - where then you can connect it to Teams as I mentioned. So, Groupify, Teamify, and then enjoyify.

More here about Groupify:

"Modernize your SharePoint team sites by connecting them to new Office 365 groups" [6/6/2018]: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-SharePoint-Blog/Modernize-your-SharePoint-team-site...

And a little about the coming Teamify (which is doable already from inside Teams, and we are working on enabling you to do it from within SharePoint):

It would be nice right? Instead of a New Team/Office 365 Group for every existing SharePoint Online site?

@Mark Kashman

Is there a way to go the opposite direction by mean of replacing the Group 0365 to another SharePoint site?   The context we have Microsoft Teams with its Group 0365 dedicated SharePoint team site, however, we as a department are reorganising our internal information management and wanted to repoint how information is uploaded, stored, access and found on Microsoft team in the backend.

@David HoThis would probably require a migration tool to copy the content from its current location into the Microsoft Team connected SharePoint site. As far as I know there is no way to completely swap out an existing O365 Group SharePoint site with another. Something like ShareGate would do the trick and is what I have used.

The other option would just to be to add the SharePoint Team site/document library(s) to the existing Microsoft Team as a Tab to provide navigation. The standard "Files" tab has limited value for information management in a channel as all files/images are dumped into the default documents library when users upload a file so it can get quite messy. I tend not to use this for formal document management.
