With Microsoft Ignite fast approaching, we here on the Enterprise Mobility team wanted to take some time to talk about the event. Naturally, with this being the first time Microsoft has held this type of event, you may be wondering what to expect. Over the next few weeks, we will be publishing a blog series titled “Why Attend Microsoft Ignite”, to highlight some key aspects about the event. It all begins with the people. People are the most important part of our company and we wanted to make sure this event features some of the best and brightest. Along with our high level keynote speakers, Satya Nadella, Brad Anderson, Mark Russinovich, etc., we have a great lineup of highly experienced professionals who have dedicated their careers to areas like desktop virtualization, identity management, and security. These exciting and thought provoking speakers will be talking about their passions and where the industry is heading. Here are just a few of the amazing people you’ll be hearing from at Ignite. Benny Tritsch – Chief Technology Officer, bluecue Dr. Benny Tritsch is the Chief Technology Officer with bluecue Consulting in Germany. He is a principal consultant, market analyst, author, and all-around geek specializing in enterprise Windows remoting and virtualization solutions. His areas of expertise include: Remote Desktop Services, VDI, high-end graphics remoting, Hyper-V, enterprise Windows deployment tools and solutions, PowerShell for IT Pros, and user workspace management. Benny speaks around the world at several conferences each year, including Microsoft TechEd, Citrix Synergy, VMware VMworld, BriForum and E2EVC. He is also actively involved in communities like Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) and he has been awarded Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for 10 years. Mark Wahl – Principal Program Manager, Microsoft Mark Wahl, CISA, has 20 years of experience in enterprise directory, security, and identity management systems. He is co-author and editor of the LDAP protocol specifications; designer of the directory and identity management products used at many major companies worldwide; and is currently a principal program manager for Microsoft identity and access management product and services. Ruben Spruijt – Chief Technology Office, PQR Ruben Spruijt is the CTO of PQR and focuses primarily on enterprise mobility, virtualization and cloud management. He is actively involved in determining PQR’s vision and strategy. Ruben is a Microsoft most valuable professional (MVP), Citrix technology professional (CTP) and VMware vExpert and is the only European with these three virtualization community awards. He gives customers advice and the benefit of his expertise; he motivates his colleagues and writes blogs , articles and opinion pieces on a regular basis. During presentations in several national and international congresses, Ruben shares his thoughts and knowledge on application and desktop delivery, and on virtualization solutions. Vittorio Bertocci – Principal Program Manager, Microsoft Vittorio Bertocci is Principal Program Manager in the Azure Active Directory team, where he looks after Developer Experience: Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL), OpenId Connect and OAuth2 OWIN components in ASP.NET, AAD integration in various Visual Studio workstreams, and a lot of other things he can’t tell you about. Vittorio holds a Master's degree in Computer Science, and worked in the software industry for two decades. He has devoted the last 10 years to distributed systems, identity management and the promotion of claims-based approaches with the dev community and Fortune/Global 100 companies.
