Sensitivity Labels for users that has left organization

Hi, 

we are rolling out auto-labelling policies to M365 files.

I have a question about the behavior of auto-labelling policies in Information Protection. Will the policy apply to documents that were created by users that have left the organization? I understand that all users need to have the right license for the policy to work, but if a user is no longer present, but their files are? Would thy be labeled automatically with the service-side policy?

All existing documents that match the auto-labeling settings will have a label applied.
