In this episode of the ITC Podcast, I sit down with
Alex Simons
the Director of Program Management for Active Directory to talk about cloud-based data protection with Azure RMS.
I’ve written about RMS in the past (in the posts about
App & Data Protection
, as well as the
Enterprise Mobility Vision
post, for example), and I think this topic is really important. For perspective, consider that we talk a lot about cloud-based management, cloud-based apps, and devices that consume entirely cloud-based content – but one element that is missing there is cloud-based data protection. That’s where Azure Rights Management steps in – or, as it’s often called, Azure RMS.
Millions of people are already using Azure RMS without know it because it’s offered as a part of Office 365. Now we’ve even extended RMS for on-prem deployments – and it supports the connection to on-prem deployments of Exchange, SharePoint, and Windows Server.
If you have questions about RMS or anything about cloud-based security,
don’t hesitate to reach out
