Two critical issues were recently discovered that impact customers who use Microsoft Intune with System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager or System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1.
The first issue occurs when the Configuration Data replication group reinitializes. When this happens, for a period of time, new policies and applications cannot be sent to users and existing policies might be removed from devices.
To resolve this issue , apply the hotfix from KB 3082419 . Additional details about this issue and steps for applying this hotfix can be found in the KB.
Because of recent changes in the Windows App Store, the following problems occur:
New Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 apps cannot be deployed as a link to the store.
Additionally, for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1, any new Allowed Apps or Blocked Apps lists for Windows Phone 8.1 devices cannot be created.
To resolve this issue:
If you use System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager with no service pack: Install the latest Windows Phone 8.1 extension. If you later upgrade to System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1, you will then need to also install the hotfix.
If you use System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager SP1: Apply the hotfix from KB 3081699 . Additional details about this issue and steps for applying this hotfix can be found in the KB article.
If the Windows Phone 8.1 extension has already been enabled, the update appears as a new item along with the enabled extension in the Extensions for Windows Intune node in the Configuration Manager console. The updated version of the extension has same name as the enabled extension but should have a more recent value for Date Released and a status of Available.
To install the updated version of the extension, select the new version and then click Enable. You do not need to disable the older version of the extension before enabling the updated version. When the updated version installs, configurations you previously made for the extension are retained. After the new version installs, only the most recent version of the extension displays in the console.
Please note that this updated extension is only available for System Center R2 Configuration Manager. For more information about extensions, please visit http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn574730.aspx
