Cumulative Update 5 (CU5) for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager is now available as a hotfix download from
. This update contains fixes for various issues and contains all of the changes from prior cumulative updates.
As with other cumulative updates, this release is optional and does not affect the product support lifecycle.
The fixes in Cumulative Update 5 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager are also contained in System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1. We recognize that some customers can deploy a cumulative update more rapidly than a service pack, and cumulative updates are provided for situations when specific time-sensitive fixes are needed for customer environments.
Replication between a central administration site (CAS) and primary sites may be blocked after you upgrade the CAS to System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1. This problem only occurs in environments that have tens of thousands of deployments for legacy software distribution packages. When this occurs, the Offer Manager component on the primary site server will appear to be stalled the Offermgr.log file on the primary site server seems to be "stuck," and no log entries are recorded in the Offermgr.log file. You can install Cumulative Update 5 to prevent this issue from occurring.
