Today, I'd like to help call your attention to some exciting new updates on behalf the Information Protection (IP) team. Effective today, we have relaunched the original RMS team blog that was on MSDN as the AD RMS Developer's Corner and with a renewed focus on covering developer news and content updates that will interest the developer audience. It's a timely announcement as today marked the 2.0 release to the Microsoft Download Center of the
AD RMS SDK
and the
AD RMS Client
.

More news as it becomes available about Microsoft's next generation cloud-hosted RMS offering
This blog should also have more information in the weeks and months ahead about the cutting edge new work that the IP team here is heads down on for next generation RMS. Some people have been calling it "RMS online" or "RMS for the cloud".
One thing I can tell you right now is this new offering is already available for testing with the Office 15 Technical Preview. Since the Office 15 Technical Preview is only available for those who are under a non-disclosure agreement, I can't provide you with a public link to where you can download it. But the RMS capabilities within Office online does have a more official name at this point. It's called Windows Azure Active Directory Rights Management and we hope to have more share about that in the very near future, especially for those of you who are looking at
Office 365
.
For right now if you want to get a little more acquainted with the Windows Azure AD strategy, I'd encourage you to check out some of what our own identity architect Kim Cameron has in his blog
here
, or for a third-party view more from the IT professional perspective, you might want to read Active Directory MVP Sean Deuby's recent article in the online version of Windows IT Pro magazine called "

".
Well, I just wanted to welcome all the IT pros for AD RMS and assure you we have plenty of good news and updates to share with you as well.
