I don't think there are risks per se, it is really a matter of choice for each organization.
From my experience, some (mainly large enterprises) customers want to have more control, what AzDO organizations are associated with their AAD tenant. If that is your case, you can check this blog post to learn about a new policy that can govern this topic:
