How long does secure score keep dead resources before dropping them?

Copper Contributor

Hey all, going through our secure score and associated recommended actions and there are resources listed in exposed entities that no longer exist.  Comparing a list of exposed entities I made 2+ weeks ago vs. today a number have dropped out of secure score.  Does anyone know the exact amount of time it takes for Secure Score to catch up and realize they're gone?  Thanks!

@Brett_Savagewood The score is calculated every day. The process starts at about 1AM pacific time but it will take a few hours to run. If you make a change to a measured action, the score will automatically update the next day. It takes up to 48 hours for a change to be reflected in your score

You can check your score last calculated from the Card in your M365 D portal.

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, "Secure Score" is a feature within Microsoft's security offerings that helps organizations assess the security posture of their Microsoft 365 environment and receive recommendations to improve it. However, there was no specific information available at that time regarding how long Secure Score keeps dead resources before dropping them.

Since software and service updates can occur, I recommend referring to the official Microsoft documentation or contacting Microsoft support directly for the most up-to-date and accurate information on the behavior of the Secure Score feature.
