Database Fingerprinting with Microsoft DLP

Brass Contributor

We are evaluating DLP and CASB solutions and wonder if Microsoft provides Database Fingerprinting or equivalent solution as ForcePoint provides as below:

"

Forcepoint DLP can quickly connect to a database, retrieve records, and fingerprint exact fields from a protected database. For example, it can detect the first name, last name, and Social Security number occurring together in a message and corresponding to a specific record from the customer database."

We came to know that MS DLP has Document Fingerprinting feature, however we are looking for Database Fingerprinting.

Any guidance or resources in this issue much appreciated.

Thanks in advance

@VKantamneni I am looking for the same thing.  Did you ever find out if this could be done?

@ITMasterA

No, we couldn't find any solution with Microsoft DLP

Wow! If other companies can do it, you would think Microsoft could. I guess I will have to use another DLP solution, instead of using MS 365. Thank you for the update.
