I do support for O365 and I have had a few customers advise that they can no longer convert 1 user from AD synced to In Cloud using the "Easy" method.
[Move user to non-synced OU>Run a delta sync>Restore user from Deleted Users in cloud.]
They are saying now when the user is restored, it puts it back the way it was,
I.E. "Synced With Active Directory."
Is there an "Easy Way" to convert 1 user to "In Cloud?"
I see multiple posts where the suggestion is to stop AD Sync for ALL USERS in order to accomplish this, which seems like burning down your house to kill a spider.
They want to ultimately retain the email data, and then convert the user to a shared mailbox after it has been converted to "In the Cloud."
