Over the last few days customers observed Asset Intelligence (AI) synchronization failures on System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1 sites. AIUpdateSvc.log entries similar to the following were recorded.
Error InternalError during download, watermark returned
The root cause has been identified and a correction made to the Microsoft-hosted AI service on February 4, 2013. No customer action is required to resolve this issue; the next synchronization attempts by any Service Pack 1 sites should not encounter this error message. These errors only occurred in new SP1 installations; upgrades from the RTM release of System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, and Configuration Manager 2007 environments, were not affected.
