AIP DLP Sensitive Info Type

Brass Contributor

Hi,

Firstly, I'm not sure whether this is the right forum for AIP/DLP questions.

Life was easier when we had the "social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums" - it was a central place for all MS technology questions - it seems these days its all over the place - or maybe its just me?

Anyway, have a quick question:

  • When selecting the "Credit Card Number" sensitive info type, how do I find out what the regular expression behind the scenes is? Is there a way to change/update it? (my guess is that this is not possibly as it is a default out-of-the-box MS managed sensitivity type, correct?)
  • Will it detect all variations of Credit Card numbers or only the following pattern: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX? (So what about XXXXXXXXXXXX or XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX or all the other permutations of writing down a Credit Card number)
  • If that's the only pattern the built-in sensitivity type will detect, then I guess I will need to create some custom Sensitivity Info Types using my own Regex?

Thank you,

SK
