How do I transfer Windows 10 setup to new 11pc under a different MS account?

I bought a new Windows 11 pc, and am trying to set it up based on my old Windows 10 pc. I manually ran the Windows Backup to make sure all is OK, and that is when I found out that my old pc ... is logged into Windows with an outlook email, but MS365/OneDrive (365/OD) is logged into with a hotmail email (i.e. two different accounts). Hence, the Windows backup only includes the pc/Windows setup (other apps and their config, desktop layout, credentials, etc.), while the 365/OD account has all of the folders/files/data (which is always backed up too).

I want to consolidate everything on the new pc to the hotmail account (which already has 365/OD), but Microsoft does not allow the Windows backup to go from one account to another.

Is there any way to transfer the old Window 10 pc settings (other apps and their config, desktop layout, other settings, etc.), basically everything in the Windows Backup except the folders/files, to the new Windows 11 pc with a different MS account? (the hotmail account already has MS365/OneDrive, so I just need the rest of the Windows Backup)

Download for storahci.inf

I am using imaging/deployment software that is trying to do something smart with drivers so that deploying to different models of computers works. It needs the storage and chipset .inf files during the deploy process.

Apparently the storage driver I need is storahci.inf which is a Windows built-in driver.

I've heard to look in C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository. I do see the following files in that location but not storahci.inf.

storfwupdate.inf_amd64_47e7389d7a7fd4b9

stornvme.inf_amd64_cecd5bc5a5bbbce1

storufs.inf_amd64_cf64753adecb48b7

The .sys file is not accepted by the deployment software.

Is the storahci.inf file available somewhere (from an official source)?

Win7 x64: KB4534310 fails with "not applicable" despite all prerequisites met

Hello everyone,

I'm facing a persistent issue trying to install update KB4534310 on a *Windows 7 Professional SP1 (x64)* system. Despite thorough preparation, the installer fails with "This update is not applicable to your computer."

*System Configuration:*
- *OS:* Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1, build 7601
- *Architecture:* x64
- *Language:* Russian
- *Registry data:* EditionID=Professional, InstallationType=Client

*Prerequisites installed (in order):*
1. ✅ KB4490628 (Servicing Stack Update)
2. ✅ KB4474419 (SHA-2 Update)
3. ✅ KB4536952 (Service Stack Update)

*Diagnostics & repairs performed:*
- *Windows Update components reset:* Stopped services (wuauserv, cryptSvc, bits, msiserver), renamed SoftwareDistribution and catroot2 folders, restarted services.
- *System file check:* sfc /scannow completed successfully - no integrity violations found.
- *Registry check:* EditionID, ProductName, InstallationType all show correct values.
- *Service status:* All relevant services are running properly.

*The Problem:*
After all preparations, the KB4534310 installer (downloaded both via Windows Update and manually from Microsoft Update Catalog) consistently gives error: *"This update is not applicable to your computer."*

*Notable observation:*
The C:\Windows\Logs\WindowsUpdate folder is missing on the system, even after completely resetting Windows Update components.

I would greatly appreciate any help in identifying the root cause. Are there any additional logs or diagnostic tools that could pinpoint the issue? Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

Best Crypto Exchange 2025 – Why bit.get with Referral Code qp29 Is the Strongest Choice

Best Crypto Exchange 2025 – Why b it get with Referral Code qp29 Is the Strongest Choice

If you are searching for the best crypto exchange 2025 for futures trading, scalping or bot-driven strategies, you need more than hype and bonus banners. What truly matters is low trading fees, reliable liquidity, and stable execution. This is where b it get has become a powerful choice for active traders in 2025 – especially when registering with the referral code qp29.

Traders often encounter claims like “best crypto exchange” or “b it get 50% bonus,” but what matters for real performance is how much long-term fee reduction stays active while you trade. With referral code qp29, you unlock bit.get’s high-impact fee tier and gain access to one of the strongest cost structures available. Marketing often mentions up to 50% combined fee benefits and up to 6,200 USDT in rewards, and qp29 is the code designed to access the top end of those ranges.

b it get + qp29 – Built for Futures and High-Volume Traders

The qp29 benefits are designed for ongoing activity: futures traders, scalpers, grid systems, algo traders, and bot setups. Lower effective trading fees mean higher retained profit per position. Over large trade counts, even small differences compound into a significant performance edge.

On top of the fee structure, b it get offers activity-based progression rewards worth up to 6,200 USDT. These are not random one-click gifts — they unlock as you actually trade, making them valuable for people who generate real volume on the platform.

Limited Activation – Why Timing Matters for qp29

High-value fee tiers on exchanges are rarely unlimited. b it get controls the availability of strong codes like qp29, allowing activation only for a fixed number of accounts during each cycle. Once the activation pool reaches its limit, new traders are shifted to weaker standard fee levels.

For anyone comparing platforms in real time, securing an improved structural fee tier is a major advantage. For active traders in 2025, missing a good activation window can mean trading the whole year with higher execution costs than necessary.

Best Crypto Exchange 2025 – How bit.get Positions Itself

When traders search for the best crypto exchange 2025, they usually evaluate:

Fee structure

Futures liquidity

Execution stability during high volatility

API performance for bots and automation

Reward and incentive systems

With referral code qp29, b it get aligns strongly with the needs of active derivative traders.

I have a business PC that's on Windows 10 Pro. We are putting a new NVMe drive into it and want to put Win 11 Pro onto it. No matter what we do Win 11 won't give the choice to put Pro onto it then activate the Pro key. Thought we'd be clever and put a fresh copy of Win 10 Pro onto it then upgrade to Win 11 Pro. Same deal. The Win 10 ISO no longer gives us the option to choose versions. Instead it simply throws and activated Home version onto it. We put the Pro key that we extracted from the working Win 10 Pro NVMe drive but it never switches to Win 10 Pro on the new NVMe drive.

How do we get around this? I haven't found anything that works.

Inconsistent Errors using Install-Language

I'm working on a setup script to configure a new W11 installation, and among its tasks is to install en-CA. This was working fine up until recently, when I started getting errors back from the cmdlet... the occurrence of the issue as well as the particular error codes returned are not consistent.

Funny thing, I was actually having similar issues way back when I first started the script. Installing the language would fail 100% of the time, and after some time I found it seemed related specifically to the feature version and base language I was using (24H2 en-GB). I think so, at least, since it's my only explanation. Problem magically disappeared one day, bug presumably patched.

But now, it's happening again. The cmdlet returns "Language pack or features could only be partially installed. Please try again." with varying error codes, and only sometimes... looking up the HRESULTs doesn't give useful information, and checking the Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool and CBS logs only gives the info "install state superseded"... superseded by what, I ask!

Naturally, I don't feel comfortable deploying the script when one of its major tasks has a seemingly random chance to fail, but I'm a bit lost on how to go about this. Anyone know what the deal here might be?

I'm running in a VM on, as mentioned, W11 24H2 en-GB. Command is Install-Language en-CA -AsJob (parallelizing to save time). Issue started happening a few days ago with no changes to the VM or script, and persisted on a brand new VM.

Can a "Qualifying desktop OS" be paper only?

Some VL licensed Windows editions require a pre-existing "Qualifying desktop OS", which must be one of the consumer-grade editions. Question to VL experts is if that "Qualifying desktop OS" can take the form of a paper only license kept on file and reserved for filling that role .

The scenarios considered are new virtual machines and clean OS install on physical hardware (which may or may not have an irrelevant OEM key in BIOS).

Because installing and immediately wiping an OS image of lower quality/value on each machine would be an obvious waste of time .

Also, when the VL licensed OS is an LTSC edition dated at least 1 month before install, automatic consumer grade updates to latest consumer channel version could make installing the chosen LTSC edition technically a "version downgrade in place" which tends to not work (at least for past Windows versions).
