Multi-level response options for a single Likert-scale item

I would like to explore whether Glint allows configuring a single survey statement with multiple sub-responses at different organizational levels, each using the same Likert scale.

For example:

Statement:

“In my experience, collaboration is effective.”

Response requested at multiple levels:

At the organization level (1–5 Likert scale)

At the division/department level (1–5 Likert scale)

At the team level (1–5 Likert scale)

In other words, instead of creating three separate items, is it possible to structure one statement with sub-questions (or nested response options) tied to different organizational levels, all using the same agreement scale?

Feedback on Glint Survey User Interface

I don't know where this really belongs, because there isn't any obvious feedback location. On the off chance someone has an in with the product team:

I just completed a Glint survey for my company, answering questions about another employee's performance on a 5-point scale, with the opportunity to add comments for each answer. I absolutely hated the web interface. Three big problems, and I don't know how much is standard for this survey tool and how much is correctable by the survey creator. (1) There were 22 questions and you saw each one only after answering the previous one. I know this is pretty standard for web surveys, and when each question is independent of the next it can make sense so that the user doesn't skip a question unintentionally or get lost, but for evaluating a complex thing like a person's performance I want to see all the questions and then go back and figure out what to say and where to say it. I would much rather have a page with all questions at once. My solution was to answer each with a non-committal average and then go back and figure out my true answer for each. (2) Way too much white space. A lot of scrolling up and down to read and re-read and answer. At least I had a mouse. If I was doing this with a touch pad or on a touch screen I would have skipped it entirely. (3) The comment button for each question was below the 5-point scale. If you hovered over #3 the comment button would show there, if you hovered over #4 the button would be there. Fine. Then you click on #4 and if you tried to click on the comment button you found that the survey had moved to the next question and your were commenting on the wrong question, so you had to delete your comment and scroll back up to the previous question where you wanted to comment. UI fail.

Literature on Validation of Survey

Some of our insurance plans are requesting more technical information related to the glint patient safety pulse survey to demonstrate that it is "a psychometrically sound, scientifically validated instrument.” I am not seeing any references on the website or discussion boards related to any technical report that shows the validation that was done related to the GPS questions. Where may we find this level of information?

Error when updating employee IDs

I'm attempting to do a bulk upload and update our employee IDs, because we got a new HRIS system, so I want everyone's new ID to be reflected. WE have a large org (20,000+ employees) and when I the bulk update, I get 1,000+ errors. All are the "DUPLICATE_ID" code, and it looks like because someone's new ID is the same as someone's old ID... is there an easy way to fix these in bulk without manually fixing all 1,000+ one by one?

Impact of having detailed numeric survey data in Glint

Hi everyone,

I oversee the HR Analytics team at my company, and we’re evaluating a potential change to our Glint employee experience survey. Specifically, we’re considering giving two members of my team access to detailed numeric data at the individual level to support more advanced lifecycle analyses. Importantly, this access would not include any comment data - only numeric responses.

Has anyone else made this adjustment? If so, did you notice any impact (positive or negative) on employee participation rates?

Changing the Elements of the Engagement Index

Glint's default Engagement index is a combination of eSat and Recommend items. Is it possible to change this formula? Can we choose different items/questions to be the ingredients in our company's Engagement index? If it is possible to do configure this, how do we make that change, and what would happen with benchmarks for Engagement? Thank you, anyone, for being willing to chime in!

Usual Participation on additional survey on Diversity and Inclusion

Hi, does anyone have a ballpark number of what good participation would be for an additional survey on Diversity and Inclusion? I know that for the engagement survey, the benchmark for good participation is around 75%. We don't expect that high participation for the Diversity and Inclusion survey. But would love to hear from others what you think would be a good and strong participation here?

I want the recommended question to also display the eNPS calculation as it did before. I used to have this setup, but now I can only see 'Recommend.' How can I set this up again?

Deleting a question

Including images in Viva Glint surveys

Hiding Live Survey Results During Active Surveys in Viva Glint

I'm looking to find out if it's possible to hide the live survey results while the survey is running. Specifically, we want only the admins to see the participation rate, but the engagement scores should be hidden for all users, including admins, until the survey closes. Has anyone implemented this setup before?

Date fields importing as Text

Hi!

I recently imported a user file with a field in it called Termination Date. I didn't have anyone terming soon, so all the entries were blank. When I tried to set up a distribution list for an exit survey I'm developing, it was unavailable as an option. I uploaded a new file with a couple of dates in it, hoping it would pick it up as a date field, but when I went to use the attribute in my distribution list, it looks like it is assuming they are text rather than dates. My other date fields worked (hire, birth) and it is set up in the same format (not getting any errors on upload.

My next step was to make a new field (term date) with 6 dates in it, hoping I could use that. I went through the New User Schema or Attributes update, but it still picked my new field up as text.

How can I force it to knowing that my field is a date? Is it because I don't have a date in the very first record? Is there somewhere I can change the field setting from Text to Date? Is something else going on that I'm not thinking of and this isn't my problem at all?

Any guidance appreciated.

Hi alanderfield,

One of the client survey has closed and they would like to give phased access to dept heads (100pax) first, then line managers (200 pax) at a later date.

However, we have only defined a manager group (300 pax) in the reporting set up site during survey build.

I am wondering if there is a workaround to make this work? Would it work if I edit the user role group and only include the department heads and provide access on the dashboard. Then, on a later date, I will edit the user role group again to add in the line managers- will the line managers receive access to the dashboard then?

Access problem

I am facing a problem with report access and I am faced with this error while trying to log in. Please see image- even as I refresh, it stays on the same page.

This is quite troubling as we are to do a client insights presentation this week but I am not able to log in with this error. I have reached out to the fast track MS team who were supposed to guide this client but they were not able to solve it. The client is also OOO the whole week and we are not able to get them to help raise a ticket on the MAC site.

Please advise if anything could be done on the back end? This problem has been here since last Thursday.

Multiple Language Invitations

We are migrating next month with our first Viva-Glint pulse administration slated for September.

One of the questions I haven't been able to solve for so far is the lack of external links or multiple languages being included in survey invites.

We are multi-national and survey in 20 languages. In the past we would send out English invitations with a top banner of links to internal translations in the other 19 languages. It is my understanding that these links will no longer be possible.

The suggestions we have received are to send out invites in the local languages based on country code, but we have a lot of international movement and don't want to guess at what language people might want.

I'm curious to hear how other companies that have already gone through migration are navigating this change. I feel like this is a big obstacle and may impact our response rate.

Hi there! We have a couple of questions on setting up access methods and user roles...

Can we put a generic URL in the body of the survey invite?
Can we include videos in the body of the survey invite?
If we allow access to a demographic variable, all users will have access to use it?
How do we go about providing certain users access to specific demographic report? (i.e., providing division heads division reports)
