Since the beginning of May, several SKU's have disappeared from the nonprofit pricing billing agreement. These include all of the Entra and Intune licenses which are not packaged, Entra Suite, P1 and P2, Intune and Mobility & Security E3 and E5. Were these SKU's purposely removed or is this in error?

Nonprofit Power Platform Community Library

Have you created something using the Microsoft Power Platform that you think would be useful for other nonprofits?

Many nonprofits are solving similar problems in isolation. That doesn't make much sense when we're all working toward the same goals.

I've started a repo on GitHub where we can share open-source, community-built resources with each other.

Whether it's a Power BI report highlighting your donors, Power Apps for volunteers, or just a simple Power Automate flow that makes your life easier - this is where we can share, contribute and build on each other's work.

This builds on the work already happening through the Microsoft Elevate team - who have been creating solutions based around the Common Data Model for Nonprofits. The goal is to extend that with community-built solutions.

Please submit a feature request, start a discussion, or submit your own solutions! You can find the NFP Power Platform Library here: https://github.com/MB-Motive/NFP-Power-Platform-Library

Inability to login to non profit hub

Hello everyone,

I have signed up our non-profit organization for Microsoft Non-Profit and it was approved. In the approval-mail I was instructed to go to the "non-profit hub" to sign in and select the plans we would like to use. (Nov 2024). I did this and created initial access.

After some interval, in Aug 2025, I tried to access this but got a message that the user doesn't exist - I use my personal MS365 account, hence, the delay. I wanted to set up access for a couple of other users at the non profit.

I've tried different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Safari, Firefox) as well as different devices, the result remains the same. The username and password are correct - the former was additionally given in the approval-mail, the latter was checked several times.

Also contacted Techsoup - got an email but no resolution. How does this grant get re-activated? Will appreciate a meaningful response.

Thanks in advance.

My name is Erica Leverson, a data analyst/tech expert at EDL Investments. We have started to want to work with nonprofits because we want to work with organizations who is making humans, animals, the environment a better place. So, in order for me to be of service to nonprofits, I want to know what the pain points are. My goal is to learn of the struggles so I can create solutions. If you don't mind, can you please share them in the comments.

Still confused by the nonprofit switch by Microsoft

I am so sorry if this is duplicated, but everywhere I turn, the information is different.

Currently, we have the following and number of licenses for each:

(3) Business Premium expire 10/1/2025

(4) Power Automate with an expiration of n/a

(4) Nonprofit portal expire 4/20/2033

(5) 365 E1 with expire of 4/24/26

As for Power Automate and Nonprofit Portal, I think there is no change to those (although I have no idea what they are).

Tech Soup is saying that Microsoft 365 Business Basic is $1 per month per license, but I read in other venues that there are 10 donated.

Microsoft hosts our email. We have 3 email addresses are used for both email and One Drive. We have another 2 that are desktop locations that really do not use email but use One Drive and we have 1 that we only use as an email for a specific project. This means we have 6 email addresses, as some are in 1 license group and not the other. I am so confused.

I don't understand why we have both Business Premium and 365 E1. And why there are some email addresses are in both but not all.

Because 365 E1 does not expire until 4/24/26, does that mean I do not have to do anything until next April for those email addresses that are listed in this category. But would need to change for the email addresses in Business Premium, even though some are in both?

I do understand the web-version vs desktop options.

Discontinuation of M365 Business Premium Grant Deeply Disappointing,Harmful to Small Nonprofits

As a Microsoft CSP partner supporting multiple nonprofit organizations, I am extremely disappointed by the decision to discontinue the Microsoft 365 Business Premium grant. This change disproportionately affects small nonprofits that rely on these tools to fulfill their missions with limited resources.

The justification that this is about “alignment” or “sustainability” is disingenuous. Let’s be honest—this is a revenue-driven decision that undermines Microsoft’s long-standing commitment to empowering nonprofits. Removing access to essential tools like Office desktop apps and Intune from the grant program forces small organizations into paid plans they cannot afford, jeopardizing their operations and security.

Microsoft has built goodwill in the nonprofit sector over the years. This move erodes that trust. I urge you to reconsider this decision or at least provide a longer transition period and more flexible options for small nonprofits.

Please do better. The nonprofit sector deserves more than a corporate cost-cutting maneuver disguised as a strategic realignment.

applying a renewal Azure grant

Just a heads up that if you are approaching a renewal of your Azure grant, things have changed in the past 6 months, and you need intervention from Support to apply that renewal credit to your existing billing. The email you'll get from 'Microsoft Azure' (after approval) makes that clear -- and it is not a self-service within Azure Admin. The "approval notice" for a renewal that shows up in the Nonprofit Portal does not explain any of this, and in general the existing documentation is out of date.

Msft began phasing out the Sponsorship Portal (and, in parallel, subscriptions under the older MOSP agreement) last December, in favor of a newer platform. To apply your renewal to the existing subscription, Support told me they first need to convert your subscription to the new platform, then apply the grant. I think it will appear as "Azure credits" in various places in the Azure Admin center -- and my guess is you might not see the new grant reflected in the balance shown in the older Sponsorship Portal.

If you need to do this, you might get frustrated trying to file a support request in Azure Admin, but the response to my request sent via Nonprofit Support was prompt and helpful.

Interested to hear from anyone else who has gone through the process in recent months.

good luck --

Stew

We are a small non-profit that has just been approved for the Microsoft Non-Profit program. We need one computer to have Microsoft Access for our library database. We are having trouble interpreting the pricing. Can we pay for only ONE user to have Access or do we have to pay the fee for every user even though they won't be using it? If we are charged for every user, we are going to need to reconsider this program as it will be much more expensive than the Microsoft business account we currently use.

Is there someone in this forum who can help?

2 versions of Volunteer Management...

I discovered the hard way that there are two versions of Volunteer Management out there. They look very similar, but the way they denote Volunteers in Contacts is different: in one, the picklist column (field) Primary Constituent Type [msnfp_PrimaryConstituentType] is set to 'Volunteer'; in the other, the Y/N column Volunteer [msnfp_volunteer] is set to 'Y'. Both columns exist in the nfp version of Contacts. Forms and Views set up for one approach obviously won't work for the other.

The version of Volunteer Management that is currently (11/24) installed by Cloud Solution Manager uses the 'Y/N' method. The other is (I suspect) what got installed earlier in '24 when I first installed NonProfit Accelerator and asked to include the sample apps. Both showed up in my list of apps, including in mobile.

My initial reaction: D'oh! Doesn't a Unified Constituent approach suggest that the method should be the same across all apps, and not a one-off in this app? I can see advantages to both...but...

My rec: if you combine the latest VolMgmt with any other Dynamics/Dataverse-based app, either write a flow that also sets the Constituent type, or pay close attention to your filters when you view or report around your Contacts.

Sigh.

ps: if I'm right about the sample app, has it been updated more recently for consistency? thx

Will Microsoft’s Fundraising Template App Be Supported Long-Term?

Since Microsoft retired the Fundraising and Engagement app, they’ve introduced template apps for partners and customers to build solutions. Over the past year, we did lot of customizations on top of the Fundraising and Engagement app, and we’re now considering moving these customizations and needed functionality to the ‘Fundraising’ template app. However, we’re concerned about long-term stability. Can Microsoft confirm if there’s any risk of these templates being retired or delisted? This would help us and others plan with greater confidence.

Microsoft 365 Backup - Azure Grant

Hi,

I'm working for a small non-profit here in the UK, and they've recently received the Azure $2000 grant.

Does anyone know if the grant can be used with Microsoft 365 Backup provided through Microsoft Syntex. It says you need an Azure subscription for the pay-as-you-go billing, but it doesn't appear on the list of Azure services.

Thanks,

Rich

Power Pages - Move to Azure App Service?

Hi all,

A NonProfit we're helping are developing their website in Power Pages and “want to host it in Azure App Service”, I assume to make better use of grants.

I see there are a couple of features in Preview that support some degree of code customization:

Creating new Power Pages sites in Bootstrap version 5.2.2 is now Generally Available - Microsoft Power Platform Blog

But from what I’ve seen, it’s not possible to export a Power Page to any codebase with full integrated functionality from the Power Pages portal but rather disconnected code snippets.

Do we have a Power Pages expert here who might confirm or deny my suspicions and whether this request is feasible at all? Thank you all for reading.
