Variance Analysis Not Available In Excel Add-In

In the Excel Add-in for Co-pilot For Finance, the Financial Reconciliation is available but the Variance Analysis is not (says its coming soon), but in your documentation it says Use Excel to Analyze Variances was available in public preview in Jun 2025. (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/copilot/release-plan/2025wave1/copilot-finance/use-excel-analyze-variances)

However in Geographic Area's it says released into Microsoft Azure Geographic area: United States.

Does this mean when you signed up for the Co-Pilot for Finance and entered your user details if you entered a non US geographic location you will not see this (even if your enterprise is using US based licence agreement)? Or is there some other reason why this option is greyed out in the Excel Add-In?

I have shared the same bot with user, when the user enter prompts the answers are not coming from knowledge base. How to resolve this, anyone encountered similar problem

Co Pilot for finance isn't working

As of today, March29, 2025 Co Pilot for Finance reconciliation isn't working and only gives the error:

An error occurred while reconciling the data

This is regardless of how simple the comparison is. It was working fine a month ago. I wonder how long it will take to release and actual working product.

Hello,

I’m using Copilot for Finance and I’m testing a scenario where a client asks for their invoices. I respond using Copilot for Finance, which suggests an email version and retrieves the relevant invoices.

However, it is unable to attach them as files. In your opinion, where could the problem be? Why is Copilot for Finance unable to attach the invoices to the email?

I cannot access to all features of Copilot for finance in Excel .just Reconcile data is activated.

Also I cannot install for Add-in Outlook -Installation got failed all the time .

please guide me how can I check all features in preview environment.

Hello Everyone,

Considering that lots of organizations with huge volumes of transactional data can exceed Excel's 1Million row limit, it might be a good idea to enable Copilot for Finance to use datasets loaded in PowerPivot, which do not have the 1 Million limit per dataset, to perform the reconciliation.

You thoughts are appreciated on this.

Hi ALL,

I am using the Copilot for Finance in Outlook and connecting it to D365 FinOps environment.

When I have a new contact from email and would like to add to D365 FinOps, the below screenshot only displays the list of the existing customers in 1 legal entity.

I would like to ask if: 1. I can select customer from other entities and where is the setup?

2. I would like to add a new contact from email to D365 FinOps as a Employee, Vendor (not customer)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to reconcile 2 tables of 30 rows each, but Copilot for Finance is stuck for hours at 10% - "Creating reconciliation report on a new sheet". It's practically unusable.

Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance
