Microsoft Teams - Auto Transcription

All our users currently have Microsoft Teams Premium Licences

We want to automatically start recording and transcription for new Microsoft teams meetings

We can set the variable 'AutoRecording' for teams with no issue, however there doesn't seem to be one for Auto Transcription and looks like they never has or will be.

We do not want users to rely on choosing the meeting templates

The aim was to start auto record and transcript for all new meetings, the user is free to manually stop them if not deemed necessary

this is to make use of the AI summaries

Focus time - allow exceptions?

I love Focus time and have been using it for some time now. What I'd like to see is an exception so that I can leave say Friday mornings for 1:1s so even though my 8am-9am is open and potentially a candidate for Focus time, I would like to keep it open so my team can set up 1:1s during that time.

Is this something that is on the roadmap?

Set up Focus time without reminder?

In the past, I have been able to set up Focus time on my calendar and it has not had a reminder that pops up like a typical meeting reminder (15 minutes before the time starts).

I went to the dashboard and did not a setting to set up Focus time without a reminder. Can you please enable that so that it blocks the time on my calendar but does not pop up that reminder 15 minutes before the event start time?

MS Forms suggested upgrades

Greetings, I've been using MS Forms for a while now. I love the concept and how it works but I think its a bit limiting. I strongly suggest the improvements listed below.

1) Add static information text fields to forms that are not numbered and are not for user response.
2) Have the ability to use 2 images, a separate form Header image and different Image for the background.
3) The ability to change the default text on the button from, "Start Now" to something more appropriate with the form.

Embed Viva insight Praise in SharePoint

Is there an option to embed the Viva insight's Praise in SharePoint site? Currently there is only limited options like conversation, community etc that you can add in SharePoint but how to add the Viva Praise option? So that the Praise is visible in the Intra-SharePoint site for all to see basically who praised who for what.

Viva no longer providing schedule send options

In Outlook (desktop, classic) Viva prompts to suggest scheduling emails at a good time, as illustrated below, which is great.

Previously, clicking "Schedule send" opened a Viva panel that let you confirm the time at which you wished to schedule the send. Now, however, the panel opens with a bunch of irrelevant options and no option to schedule the send:

How do I now get Viva to actually schedule the send for this email?

Viva Insights yields better results than Copilot

Is the Viva Insights Suggested Tasks being retired because Microsoft wants to sell more licenses for Copilot?

I have tried to prompt Copilot to give me the same level of detail that Viva Insights gives. I have not had any prompts in M365 Chat that have worked as successfully as Viva Insight. What suggested prompts do you have that have worked in Copilot to give the same level of detail?

viva insights is not working properly in sending scheduled email messages

look at this one down here,

viva insights has this thing where you can schedule the action of sending emails, it prompts you this esp when the recipient is not in the working hours that are known to the exchange server. it works best with ms solutions. anyway, the action buttons that are supposedly beneficial to be used after you set up your message and clicked on send to schedule it to be sent at whatever date and time you set for it, do not work at all. all of them (send, don't send, feedback). the reason is unknown for me. like for that example up there, i can't action on the already scheduled email even if i changed my mind later on and want to stop it from being dispatched. that email is going there... whatever what!

it just throws you this message "something went wrong"

what could be the reason for this one?

can someone put their insights... got it?!

Protect Time Doesn't Auto Set Recurring Plan Appointments to Private

Settings -> Protect Time -> Configure your recurring plan for focus

Suggestion

Please add a radial select, button, dropdown, etc. to allow for us to set our focus appointments within Viva Insights to "private" automatically.

Issue

When I configured my recurring plan, it's great. It works as intended and appears to setup a new plan automatically, for two-week increments (the current week and the next week). What it doesn't allow, is for me to set my automatic privacy settings. I personally would like mine set to private due to calendar sharing. I have to go in and manually select each appointment to make them private which is definitely more work than I hoped for. Overall, I love this feature because prior to Viva Insights, I was doing this all manually. Thank you for the innovation!

Make ease to use windows 11

Suggestions I would like to share with Microsoft windows 11 developers are...

1. What if icons in taskbar action in just one click. Reduction of clicks required for an action makes experience faster and smoother. e.g. If we clicked on Wi-Fi icon in taskbar Wi-Fi turns on and off, instead of clicking turn on button further.

2. Instead, Windows operating system came up to windows 11, but it has same monotonous boxy user interface. Icons and symbols need to be more designer and must seems smoother with animations. A bit changes in user interface in tilt of user friendly attracts users towards Microsoft.

I am experiencing such more lack as user of Microsoft and various tending operating systems.

Disabling Briefing emails.

Meeting Scheduling to Allow Moving Focus Time

Since more and more people in our organisation are using Insights Focus Time, it has got increasingly difficult to schedule meetings as everyone's focus time could be at different times and so it often appears there is no time that everyone is available. Would it be possible to have Scheduling Assistant show other people's focus time in a different colour, or better still, allow the Autopick function to suggest times when the only unavailability is due to people's focus time and there is space in that person's calendar to move the focus time to accommodate the meeting?

Team Coordination

Viva is doing a great job of keeping me accountable to my schedule and keeping me in touch with what is going on daily.

I would love to see this integrate better with multiple users/teams. Example - I work in IT Support and we all have projects that need to be worked on regularly. But we also have a Support Queue/Ticketing system that needs to be monitored as well as Server Updates that have to be maintained.

I would love to see Viva bring that type of automation to a team where managers would be able to set a central schedule that says how many people need to be available to answer calls, take tickets, etc. while the rest of the team is scheduled to handle project work.

Focus Time additional controls

I work in IT Support and frequently need to find larger blocks of time to work on projects. But I dont want Focus time to be scheduled daily.

Users should be able to choose which days of the week they prefer, and the number of days they want focus time to be scheduled.

Praise submissions to land in HR/Perspectives system

Send Praise - Titles

I really like the Send Praise function in Viva Insights, but wondered whether an organisation can create their own. We would really like to use the function but have titles/icons that relate to our company values.

Is it possible to add our values to the list of titles available?

Static dates in the report generation

I think an idea to improve that recently a client share with me was about the custom dates when they generate a report, and let me explain more about it because sounds very interesting.

In this case she wants to identify trends in the organization, and want to have the info updated to the last week, but that the starting week stays statics.

She wants to instead of keep watching the results of a year, could be: 1 year + 1 week, 1 year+ 2 weeks, etc, the only way she can do this its by creating each week a new report with the dates, but might be a gool idea to have some autoupdate split.
