Orchard Harvest Community Conference

Hello everyone!

I would like to invite you to our Orchard Harvest Conference, which is the annual gathering of the Orchard Core community.

For those who may be new to Orchard Core, Microsoft Orchard is an open-source content management system (CMS) and web application framework that allows developers to build websites, blogs, and web applications. It provides a modular and extensible architecture that allows developers to create custom features, themes, and modules to suit their specific needs.

The Orchard Harvest conference will be in Hotel Botanique in Prague on the 11th and 12th of November.
It's going to be a great opportunity to share knowledge, talk about development plans and ideas, and foremost, meet the rest of the worldwide community.

In addition to the presentations and networking opportunities, Orchard Harvest provides a unique platform for developers, designers, and users to connect, learn, and contribute to the ongoing development of Orchard Core. Orchard Core 2.0 released

Orchard Core is an open-source, modular, multi-tenant, and community-driven application framework built with ASP.NET Core, and a content management system (CMS) built on top of that framework. Its vision is to create shared components for building ASP.NET applications and specific applications that leverage these components to meet the needs of end-users, content administrators, and developers.

The community recently released the second major version of Orchard Core with several new features and additions! This release is packed with performance improvements, bug fixes, and a variety of enhancements that make it our best version yet. Whether you're building a new project or maintaining an existing one, Orchard Core 2.0 brings stability and power to your fingertips.

In this release, there's a new "Azure AI Search" module, designed to empower you in the administration of Azure AI Search indices. When enabled with the "Search" module, it facilitates frontend full-text search capabilities through Azure AI Search.

The Microsoft Azure Media and Amazon S3 Media modules have new features for replacing the default PhysicalFileSystemCache of ImageSharp that stores resized images in the local App_Data folder. Instead, you can now use Azure Blob Storage with the Azure Media ImageSharp Image Cache feature (that utilizes AzureBlobStorageImageCache), and AWS S3 with the Amazon Media ImageSharp Image Cache feature (that utilizes AWSS3StorageCache). Orchard Core is an open-source, modular, multi-tenant, and community-driven application framework built with ASP.NET Core, and a content management system (CMS) built on top of that framework. Its vision is to create shared components for building ASP.NET applications, and specific applications that leverage these components to meet the needs of end-users, content administrators, and developers.

The community recently released the latest 1.7 version of Orchard Core with several new features and additions! There's a new SMS and SMS Notifications module that provides a way to send SMS messages and notifications to users using SMS services. And by utilizing the new two-factor SMS Method feature, you can also transmit a two-factor authentication code to the user via SMS. And yes, this means that starting with version 1.7, Orchard Core is shipped with everything you need to secure your app with two-factor authentication.

The Lucene and Elasticsearch features are capable of searching within PDF files because PDF files are indexed by default. As an enhancement, we added a new feature called Media Indexing which extends the media indexing capability to also encompass searching within files with the following extensions: .txt, .md, .docx, and .pptx. NET Technical Test on hiring processes

Hi all!

As Dev Lead in my current company I'm in charge of the hiring processes for new devs.

Until now we had a traditional process having a conversation with HR, a technical interview and a technical test (in live), but we would like to strengthen a bit the same using some of the existing online tools that are on the market. I was thinking for instance in something like TestGorilla or similars.

I was wondering how other mates in our community do that processes and if you use tools like this or not.

What do you think? Have you used? Are they useful? Do them help providing a better process both for companies and candidates? If yes, which one you would recommend?
