Title bar image in Spaces

Hi @cuong ,

The image used on community page is shrink if we shift on any space, and in our case looks now as

I'm not sure when it happened, maybe with recent TechComm update. Anyway, perhaps it's worth to change the image. As for me I'd simply use Excel icon (as in Exchange community), but that's your business.

@Sergei Baklan Thanks for flagging this

@Eric Starker can you help?

@Sergei Baklan @cuong Thanks for letting us know. I'll let @Allen Smith know to look into it.

@Sergei Baklan ,

Thanks for flagging this, we have not changed how the header banners are rendered in over 9 months.

The banner images in the community are designed for 1080p and smaller screen (hence their maximum width of 1920px). We do not have as much flexibility as we might like on those banner images as so they do not scale well up to 4K or when on really small screens.

We will certainly look to improve how we handle banner images, indeed we have a backlog item to do just that and I will follow up once we have been able to make those improvements to see if the experience is better for you.

Kind regards

Hi Allen,

Thank you for the update. Perhaps I misunderstood you, but the issue, as I see it, is not in screen resolution. We have different height of the title/banner bar for the community page and for any space under the community. Banner image is exactly the same in both cases and is chosen to proper fit the space on the community page. When we shift on space page, we have the same banner image - but it is shrunk. You may compare https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Excel/ct-p/Excel_Cat and https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Resources-and-Community/bd-p/ExcelResources, the same for any other community.

@Sergei Baklan Ah I see what your saying.

Its not actually 'shrunk' it just doesn't have the same height as the community page. It is possible to change the image height through each of the pages below the Community page and to that end I will loop in @cuong and let him comment if he plans to change them.

All the best

@Sergei Baklan I want to make sure I'm clear on what you're saying.  You're saying the height of the banner image is not consistent between the forum landing page and the space pages.  Is that correct?

Cuong, Microsoft

@cuong  - yes. Sorry for my English.
