@cuong "number of new & exciting" - seems a bit excessive
Two would be more precise.
a) First something that we could do since July 2016 (Power BI Publisher) now becoming a built in feature which is always welcome but hardly qualifies as new and exciting
https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/analyze-in-excel-from-power-bi-publisher-july-update/
b) Second, additional Data types over and above Stock and Geography - Based on Power BI Datasets, PQ Data Types and Wolfram Alpha - which is brilliant ! - but I hope doesn't get killed in Licensing issues (E5 only would be greed winning over common sense)
Kudos to the formula team for the setting a blazing pace in the past 12 months by adding LET (which got no mention in the video), Dynamic Array Formulas, Speed improvements to MATCH / XMATCH and other Lookup functions. Couple of missed opportunities in XMATCH not having a If Not Found parameter like XLOOKUP and both not having a parameter to specify the Instance number
Please focus the rest of the year on removing the parity in the Mashup and Vertipaq engines present in Excel and Power BI Desktop
Please hasten the introduction of Custom Visuals and make them work with Data in the Data model
Tragic to see that in a 3 day event Excel gets 20 Mins.
Also tragic to see the below from the Microsoft 365 Roadmap as of Today
Don't let the fear of Excel in the Power BI Team hamper the development of the worlds best spreadsheet
Get a Leadership team that has vision and courage
Best Regards
Sam
