Windows 11 Workspace Background Bug

Occasional Visitor

The Bug: Individual workspace fails to remember its unique background.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create 2 workspaces.
  2. Set different background for each.
  3. Quickly switch between them with Ctrl-Win-Left and Ctrl-Win-Right
  4. Eventually one workspace will duplicate the wallpaper of the other. The duplicated wallpaper will remain permanently.

Possible Cause:

This is most likely because Windows fails to load a wallpaper into animation (fade-in/fade-out) due to the fast switching and it defaults to the previous wallpaper, permanently. This bug doesn't occur when both workspaces have the same wallpaper (i.e. after the bug occurs)  because there is no animation when switching.

Attached is a screenshot after the bug occurs.
