Since updating to Windows 11, I am no longer able to change the Rating in my WMA music files.

(Right click the file, select Properties, select the Details tab.)

Files created prior to the upgrade list the prior rating; files created since the upgrade list "Unrated".  Neither those created before or those created after allow the rating to be changed, though other properties can still be altered.

Is this just a glitch, or have they decided to discontinue the Rating file property in Windows 11 for some reason?

Try setting your folder views manually (in File Explorer.)

File Explorer -> C:\Windows\System32 -> Left Click on the "Type" drop-down listbox under the Address Bar until it is in alphabetical order (by file type)

File Explorer -> C:\Windows\System32 -> Right Click on the "Name" drop-down listbox at the top, and click "More", then select "Rating" and click OK.

File Explorer -> Menu -> View (ALT+V) -> Options -> Select the "View" tab on Folder Options -> Folder views (Group Box) -> Click "Apply to Folders" -> Click Ok.

These are the actual registry keys that store the folder settings in File Explorer:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU
