I encountered this issue when I was on google meet, since chrome was using my microphone for the meeting the mic icon appeared in the right section of the taskbar where it was overlapping with the up arrow.

Although the icons and onClick events were working fine, it's just about the UI.

I have sort of the same issue.
Taskbar icons overlapping when remote desktop is in the background. (Behind a open window)

Identical issue here, I've assumed it was based on conflicting programs but I think not after looking at your post;

Anyone have any solutions yet?
