Hi,

So about 3 days ago my pc got really slow and i ran an virus scan and there was a virus in there.After i removed the virus containing file it was still slow so i did a complete reset of my pc.Even after complete reset my pc for some reason is still slow and games which i was playing at 60 fps about a week ago now i only get 18fps. There is nothing wrong with my hardware as i have done the diagnostic tests.What should I do??*(I am a windows insider in dev channel)

1.) Try cleaning up the image: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/windows-11/the-i7-7700k-meet-the-minimun-requierments-to-run-...

2.) Get a free link 3rd-party anti-malware link scanner for your Web Browser like this: https://www.bitdefender.com/solutions/trafficlight.html

3.) Launch Windows Powershell -> Start Menu -> Run -> taskmgr -> File -> Run new Task -> %SystemRoot%\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe -> Select "Create this task with administrative privileges." -> Click OK.

4.) Copy/Paste this into Powershell to harden your network stack:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Scope LocalMachine -Force;
Get-NetAdapter | Enable-NetAdapter;
Set-NetIPInterface;
Get-DnsClient | Set-DnsClientServerAddress -ResetServerAddresses;
Get-NetAdapterBinding | Disable-NetAdapterBinding -AllBindings -IncludeHidden -componentid "ms_netbios";
Get-NetAdapterBinding | Enable-NetAdapterBinding -componentid "ms_tcpip";
Get-NetAdapterBinding | Enable-NetAdapterBinding -componentid "ms_tcpip6";
Get-DnsClient | Set-DnsClientServerAddress -ResetServerAddresses;

 5.) Use TCPView64 to check which programs are opening ports on your network stack, and block / disable unnecessary programs that are not supposed to be there to close the ports (you can Google Search to find out what each entry is) with your AV tool's Firewall, or the built-in Windows Firewall: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/tcpview

6.) Try scanning with the free version of Malwarebytes to remove up any leftovers your main AV / Antivirus tool may have missed (disable the trial and scan your system drive manually) -> https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download

7.) Consider a post-paid AV program that has a rating of 6 for Protection and Performance: https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/

NOTE: Also check the benchmarks here before making a decision: https://www.virusbulletin.com/testing/vb100/
