And thanks brother for replying and if you know the ways to fix this problem please let me know as well that would be cool
ive had the exact same issue
I'm having the exact same issue
Did anyone find a fix for it?
So far I'm still looking. If you or someone you know finds a fix, be sure to let me know.

I have this issue as well. The thing is that I turned on my PC, logged into my account and noticed this issue. Then, when I came to reboot my PC (as one would when confronted by such computer wierdness), I was prompted to do a Windows update. I thought this would resolve the issue, but nope. So I don't know if the update got pushed to my machine without my knowledge? Because this started happening before I restarted and did the update.

Although the last time I used my PC everything was fine. I'm utterly clueless here.

And just as I got an invite for the next Halo Infinite flight LOL

I'm thinking the update did get pushed without a notification because I don't remember any prompts or notices that it was going to update, and when I turned it back on, I was experiencing this issue.
The only update I got that I saw was for my bluetooth driver, I didn't see any other update coming as well. I need to do some work and now, no explorer... terrible and looks like a standard, Microsoft should have tested it before pushing this update crashing everyone.

Ouch, RIP your Halo game lol.

Anyways I came here to say I’ve the same issue.

Edit: I was able to roll it back by opening Control Panel via the Task Manager (File > Open new task and type in “control”) and going to Review your computer’s status (under System and Security) > Recovery > Open System Restore and undoing the latest system update. This doesn’t work for everyone it seems, but I hope this helps someone.

I did get the update prompt, but it’s pretty hard to miss because it basically popped up in the corner to say “hey we’re gonna update when you’re not using your computer just fyi” and then disappeared into my notifications.

I got task manager to open with ctrl+alt+del, but can’t run anything explorer-based. Can’t open windows update, can’t open file explorer, can’t open settings. Pressing the start menu button just crashes explorer (not that it was functioning anyway) so I can’t even use the key to use shortcuts. I can use task manager to run most of my computer because everything else seems to function fine, but it’s going to get real annoying real quick lol. Hopefully they push an update (and hopefully windows update can do the job?? I couldn’t even open it)

The same is happening to me. The curious thing is that I have reset the PC (Keeping my files) and it still the same. I'm just now resetting again but with the download option. The update I checked was installed today was something like Windows Module Installer

@Phil_Pepin  oi mate what if we call MIcrosoft or email them

I did ctrl + alt + del, shift + click restart to restore before the last update, it restored but same issue happening
Same, do you think it's broken
It should be fixed within a few hours. I REALLY hope it would be fixed by tomorrow because I'll be needing my device for work and other assorted things.
Same here, I do have a job interview tomorrow and I can't do anything now...
I rolled back mine to 2 days ago, it worked fine, not I see that a cumulative update is already done and my PC is ready to restart to install it (I will not restart it ever again) LOL
