Music Stops When I hit the Home Button or power-on the screen...

When I am listening to music and hit the home screen button or power-on the screen via either my phone's power button or its fingerprint reader, the music stops.   It does not matter which music app I am using or whether I have headphones in the jack or not. 

When I get off the home screen, either by opening an app or even pulling down the notification shade, the music will start back up. 

I am running an LG G8 Android 9 and ML 5.7.0.53369.

Turns out, this is about Hey Cortana (Launcher).
If Hey Cortana is enabled, when I go to my homescreen, the music shuts off. If I disable Hey Cortana, when I go to my homescreen, the music continues to play.
