Bug With Max Brightness

New Contributor

When windows boots on my laptop the screen is really dim regardless if it is plugged in or not. Attempting to increase the brightness using the keyboard does not respond. A check of the battery icon shows the brightness at 50% and Battery Saver is off and that the laptop is plugged in. To get around the bug you can lower the brightness further and then you can go right up to max using the keyboard. The software slider can also break it free and the "Increase Brightness" key works as intended again.
